Our vision is to secure an online world without child sexual abuse and exploitation.

The IWF is an international not-for-profit organisation working closely with the global technology sector to disrupt, prevent and remove images and videos showing the sexual abuse and exploitation of children from digital spaces.

Operating Europe’s largest centre for assessing, grading and securing the removal of child sexual abuse material online, the IWF provides trusted services, intelligence and datasets used by technology companies, platforms, financial and other industries, and law enforcement worldwide.

These capabilities support safety-by-design approaches that help protect victims and survivors, prevent the spread of criminal content, and strengthen the global investigation and disruption of abuse networks.

This report highlights what we saw in 2025 — how abuse is created, distributed and monetised — as well as the systemic challenges that make eradication difficult. It also identifies persistent and emerging harms related to generative AI, violence against women and girls, and the threats posed to older teens. The report explains how we work with our partners to disrupt these systems and reduce harm to children.
